The mural "Under the Sun" was completed on the East wall of Country Sun Natural Foods at 440 S. California Avenue, in December of 2004, by artist MOHAMMED "SLIM" SOUMAH, a native of the West African nation of Guinea. Soumah's work was chosen from a selection of proposals from eight local artists. "Under the Sun" was commissioned by the Public Art Commission and funded by Country Sun Natural Foods, the City of Palo Alto, and the California Avenue Area Development Association (CAADA).
